Deploy a single phone

Get the IP Address of the phone

Snom

• The IP address is shown when the phone boots up

Snom 370 / 360

• Press the help button

• Press Settings
  • Scroll down with the navigation pad to "Network [8]"

Snom 320

• Press the help button

Snom 300

• Scroll down with the navigation pad to "Configuration"
  • Scroll right with the navigation pad to "DHCP"
  • Press OK
  • Press Cancel and you will see the IP address on the display

Enter the IP address in your browser to access the Snom webinterface

• Make sure the firmware is above 7.0.0. This can be checked under Status -> System Information. Refer to the wiki of Snom to get more information on how to upgrade your firmware.

Define the MAC address of the phone inside the MIXpbx webinterface

• Log into the MIXpbx webinterface
• Access the MIXpbx -> Extensions menu
• Click on the extension that you want to configure
• Put the MAC address of the phone into the MAC address field

The MAC address of the phone is the the serial number of the phone situated on the back of the phone. Or you can copy&paste the MAC address from the Status -> System Information section.

Put the configuration URL into the phone's configuration

• Access the MIXpbx -> Configuration menu
• Copy (CTRL-C) the Snom url
• Access the Advanced -> Update menu on the Snom webinterface
  • Paste (CTRL-V) the Snom url into the Setting URL field
  • Set the field Update Policy to Update automatically
  • Click Save, confirm and reboot the phone
