Number 4 - Launch a call via a different carrier

  • Argument: Carrier dialout prefix+destination number

The dialout prefix which is in most cases 0 is not needed.

The MIXpbx supports multiple carriers per pbx using different technologies like isdn/bri, pri and voip. Carriers and their dialout prefix can be managed in our webinterface.

Number 5 - Launch a call via a different extension of the same or a different company

  • Argument 1: Company digit auth code
  • Argument 2: The extension that belongs to that company
  • Argument 3: The destination number including the dialout prefix which is in most cases 0

The MIXpbx can host different companies on the same hardware. Sometimes users work for more than one company and as such need to define over which company the outgoing call will be routed. Another scenario are fax machines that are shared among different companies. To route a call over a different company the user needs to know the digi auth code of that company. The auth code can be configured in our webinterface.

Example: Let's assume that I would like to call the number "20 333 000" via a different company. Our configuration prefix is set to "8989" and the digit auth code of the other company is "123" and their dialout prefix is 0. The call should belong to extension number "7" which exists in the configuration of the other company. The number that I need to dial is: 8989 5 123 7 0 20 333 000.

This feature is useful if the phone or fax supports preselection prefixes. In the above example the administrator would configure 89891237 as preselection prefix into phone or fax device.
