Mixpbx phones snom resetfirmware

Every MIXpbx has a local tftp server that contains the firmwares of the Snom voip phones. This is useful if you need to recover from a bad firmware upgrade (power failure during upgrade).


Procedure to install a new firmware using tftp

  • Make sure the phone has no power
    • Unplug the power cable or the network cable if the phone is connected to a POE switch
  • Plug the power and hit the button "1" several times during boot until the message "IP Address:" appears

  • Use the navigation key File:snom-navigation.png to move the cursor to the left
  • Enter the IP address of your phone

  • Press the next button
  • Enter the IP address of your MIXpbx
